“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1.27
Through our Fine Arts offerings we seek to educate, strengthen, and create in all our Fine Arts. Whether through visual, auditory, movement, or spoken art – our goal is to create and to raise a generation who is capable of creating, through the lens of a Scriptural Worldview.
Preschool Music Program / Creative Story Time –
As we use this curriculum we maintain/create a solid Biblical and Musical foundation, with which we seek to prepare children for excellence in group and individual music endeavors.
1st – 6th Grade Music – Every grade is presented with challenging music that has been created for their specific vocal, cognitive, and theological levels. Students are exposed to musical theory, famous composers, and various instruments. We want students to understand the role music and the visual arts can play in worship.
Creative Arts and Ministry (middle/high school) – This elective class fulfills the humanities requirement for graduation, but more importantly students are equip with skills for life and ministry. Students gain confidence through public speaking and improv. Students also learn creative techniques (ie. balloon animals, skits, stick ministry) to share the Gospel.
Our art program incorporates all age groups at BGCA to the training and practice of creating visual arts. Gloria Carrico is a truly gifted teacher, instructor, and counselor for artistic students. She guides them to greater self-awareness through an unfolding of their gifts in the visual arts. Her curriculum is created per age and ability and keeps the students challenged, in efforts that they may grow in their appreciation and understanding of art, while finding their gifting in this medium.
BGCA has partnered with Tippi Toes for dance offerings for preschool students (BGCA Destiny). Classes are held at the school with end-of-semester recitals in town. Make sure to take advantage of this important offering in our school and help support our Fine Arts!
